Preserve Relationship Context
Sardina Preserve, in the broad Lake Wohlford area, was acquired through the Conservancy's 2018 Save 1,000 Acres campaign and was saved in July 2019. The preserve is 282 acres.
In 2020, the Conservancy's board renamed Cielo Preserve to Keithley Preserve.

The organization began routine water-quality monitoring at four sites along Escondido Creek in September 2011. The monitoring program is intended to establish a baseline for evaluating creek conditions and trends.
Many water-quality parameters have improved since monitoring began, though more work remains.
Re-naturalizing the concrete channel is one of the Conservancy's long-term goals.
