On March 9, 2026, the Commission received and filed a timeline and RFQ-process staff report, voted to move forward with the selected three artists, and did not direct staff to create a local artist preference.
The next step was for the Commission to conduct public interviews with the three selected artists. Staff would gather public input after the May 11 meeting, a June 2026 special meeting would choose a final artist, and the final artist would be presented to City Council for confirmation in August 2026 before signing an agreement if confirmed.
